On to new days

Well.. now I've watched all the episodes of Full Metal Alchemist.. I think it was great.. I don't want to spoil anything so maybe it's best that I don't start talking about the series at all.. overall it was great but I think some elements could have been made better.

Also, I watched Melodifestivalen, I'm more disappointed each week, and that after not having expected much.. well, I didn't think any of the songs was any good... And I'll leave it at that...

Well.. I don't know what more to write, I think that my headache and so on is settling.. I went out with our dogs.. and I didn't look at anything from school.. That's probably and sadly enough the thing I'm going to do tomorrow, the day before school starts again.

The song of today:
Keops Pyramid by Hoola Bandoola Band

I don't think I've had a similar song as "the song of today" before.. but the song I've had in mind ever since I started this blog is in the same genre I guess.. I'm saving that song for later though; I'll tell you this; the song's got something to do with both my username and the name of the blog. So, Keops Pyramid.. Is a good Swedish song, like every other song in the genre; the lyrics are the important part.. I like it.. but then again; I've got a mixture of tastes in music.. I think XD..

"Man can not live on porn alone" quote from Jersey Girl [Maya (Liv Tyler) about the fact that Ollie Trinké (Ben Affleck) hadn't had sex for 7 years.]

Another short one

I did watch Jersey Girl today, it's really great.

I'm gonna keep this short, mostly because I've got a bad headache and I'm really tired. I watched some more Full Metal Alchemist and I watched some tv-shows, I didn't do much today.

School is coming closer, maybe I'll start to look through some school stuff tomorrow.

The song of today:
Fear Of The Dark by Iron Maiden

Just a great song by a really great band, I mean.. They are just brilliant, countless great songs and so on, again I'm keeping it short by saying; absolutely fantastic!..oh, and the live versions.. ..the live versions!

I'll cya?

Not too much.. and not the other way around either

Ok.. I don't even know what I've been doing today.. I guess I checked out some musicians websites and.. played some games on the web.. like Naruto-Arena, Bloons, Soul-Arena and Bloons tower defense.. Oh.. I went down to the centre of town to check if there was any fun games at the local game-store.. there weren't any games worth buying so I didn't do that.

Just now I decided that I'll watch Jersey Girl tomorrow.

The song of today:
Idioter by Markus Krunegård

Honestly; it's a great album, the songs are much greater when they are played together, I've listened to the whole album over and over the last couple of days.. he's got a nice vibe, a nice feeling in his songs, a combination of pretty good lyrics and good music, in the end the combination is great. That's what I think at least.

I wish you yet another good night!

Nothin'-day

Well.. my father went to my uncle's apartment today.. with his sister (my aunt on my father's side.. again; not the one who was here this weekend, she's on my mother's side).. And when he came home I helped him carry some stuff in.. my uncle's car is outside too.. I think I'm finally starting to come out of the state of shock or something.. I feel like I've been empty since I heard about my uncle.. I blamed myself a little for not feeling all that much and all sorts of things.. thinking too much about how you should behave and so on... I don't know.. but I really hope I'm getting out of that..

I spent the whole day watching anime, another 10 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist.. and I watched the remaining episodes of Elfen Lied.. It was really great.. I don't know how I feel about all the graphic violence and the nudity in the anime.. when I think about it I realise that it was needed to set the mood of the anime.. It was great, a great mixture of themes.. I liked it.

Sofia Karlsson's music sort of helped me today.. it's always such a relief to listen to her songs, what's even greater; her new album will be released next week!.. Me and my mother are thinking about seeing her perform in Uppsala next week too.

That's all I had to say for now, have a great time everybody!

The song of today:
No Joanna by Cajun Dance Party

It's got a really nice sound! I really like all of it.. now excuse me.. because I'm too tired to write more at the moment.. that's another thing; I've been really sleepy all day.. I don't know if I'm sick or something.. well, no need to think about that now.

G'bye

Fix'd

Well! I fixed the computer!.. I think.. it seems like it.. Anyway, I had to reinstall Windows.. so everything is gone.. but that's ok! At least I can use my computer again.. so that's basically what I've been doing most of the time today.. Yeah, that's what I've been doing.. I'm done with installing programs and stuff now, the only other things I did today was to watch about 10 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist, an anime I've wanted to watch for a long time now, so I'm glad that I've begun watching that. Also I watched some tv and ate, obviously. I don't think I've got much more to tell you guys today, even though the material I had was positive news, so I guess it doesn't matter that much that I couldn't write all that much.

Oh, and you guys showing your support (because of my uncle); thanks! It's good to know that there are people who care, I will remember that.

I've got a killer-headache if anyone wanted to know that.

The song of today:
No Heaven by Justin Nozuka

I've got shivers all over, I found out about him and this song just recently (I saw the cover Sam Hart had done of the song (I usually only listen to his originals)) .. It's so, so, so emotional. I don't think I can describe it without making understatements. So I'm not going to describe it, just know that it's great.

Well.. I guess.. this is.. goodbye.. until next time then!

Insert a fitting title here?

Let's see.. where do I begin? First off; my parents got home today... they brought candy that they bought in the... boat they traveled with to get to and from Estonia.. Taste's good but it feels like my teeth doesn't like it as much as I do... Now.. over to what they also brought; news.. not exactly good ones either.. apparently my uncle (related directly by blood (my father's brother) not the one who was at my house this weekend) is dead.. I don't want to get into details, so I'll leave it at that.. It's all very unreal and confusing, I don't really know how I feel about it either.. maybe it needs to sink in or something.. well.. I don't know, I'm not terribly down in any way right now so there's no need for anyone to worry.. I just started to think about a lot of stuff. The thing is; me and my sister knew something had happened, just not what; my grandpa called and talked to my aunt (who's on my mother's side of my family).. to inform her of the situation or something.. my sister picked up the phone and heard that my grandfather sounded sad, then of course she heard half of the rest of the phone call.. and then talked bout it with me.. she also said that my aunt said that our parents would tell us when they got home.. so we where a little in the dark.. well, I'm glad that me and my sister can depend upon each other when we need each other...

On to other news; both my parents and my aunt thought that we had been doing well and was surprised that we managed to keep the house as clean as we kept it.. and so on. I started to watch Elfen Lied today.. I've only seen 2½ episodes so I shouldn't say something about it yet.. my only thoughts are that it seems good.. and very different.. with many different elements.

Oh.. and we'll try to do something about my computer tomorrow.

The song of today:
Zombie by The Cranberries

Sure, it's not new ar all, but it's still great in it's own way, it's unique, that's what gets them most of the points.. well, I really like it and.. I'm awful tired now Boss, dead tired.

Sunday, 22 February 2009

Well.. that's good and dandy.. .. .....

[Insert as many swearwords here as you want].. Speaking of the devil.. .. I'm refering to the fact that I mentioned Murphy's law earlier.. ; Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.. My computer doesn't work anymore, that's the main reason why I didn't write yesterday.. I didn't think the virus I had was that serious.. Even though I took it serious, don't think that I didn't.. I tried everything in my knowledge to get rid of it but nothing worked. I'm devastated.. Here's what happens when I try to start my computer; I get to the "log in to user (with password)"-page.. I type in my password and press enter, it says that it's starting up or whatever, but right after that it says "loging out".. And.. that's as far as I get now.. I'm really down.. I have had my computer for almost a year.. I mean; that's nothing! I had some stuff that I really want back on there too, most things I can do without but.. some things I wrote and some pictures, both camera and ones done in Paint... I hope we'll fix it, I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow, when my parents comes home.. My cousin, aunt and uncle was here too, they came yesterday and went.. less than an hour ago.. They are nice and fun to be with, we had a great time!

Right now I'm at our (my familys) common computer that I havn't used in a long time, this is the one that my sister and father usually uses, it's no way near as good as mine and I don't get interupted and so on when I'm on my own computer.. I guess I'll play some playstation 3.. or watch tv or a movie.. or something like that.. maybe I'll go out somewhere.. I wouldn't wish this fate upon any person.. I f****ng hate problems XD.

Maybe I'll take a bath.. or draw.. or write... well, I'll make up my mind about that, cya.

The song of today:
Järnstaden by Sällskapet

Well.. it's a Swedish song again.. this song is really calm.. and powerful at the same time.. I think it's great.. a bit mesmering.. I don't know how to describe the feeling of the song.. it's calm and indifferent.. but still with a great deal of feeling.. I don't know, all I know is that it could be my soundtrack at this moment in time, right now.. if I had a soundtrack that is.

On to better things?

Always where I need to be~

Once again; I know I'm supposed to be happy because I'm free from school for.. like ten days.. but I just don't feel that way right now.. but it's not that I feel bad either, I've just got a really bad headache.. put it'll pass.. hopefully!

So, I havn't got much more to say, uneventful day, some Latin, some Spanish walked the dogs two out of three times.. and that's that..

Oh, and my computer somehow got some effin' virus or something.. I thought I was better protected than that >__>.. I think I got rid of the critical parts though.. but it seems like my anti virus programmes won't find it all though, I get some effin' non-internet-based-pop-ups or something like that.. well, it is visually very irritating.. Oh well.. that's Murphy's law I guess!

I guess my cousin and aunt will come over tomorrow.. because I havn't seen them yet at least!

The song of today:
Seaside by The Kooks

I have to say that the accent makes it greater than it would have been otherwise.. I.. think XD! Yeah, anyway, it's a good song, quite calm and it's got more sensitivity than most songs. I wish the song would be longer though!

I said I had a headache, a'righ'?

Here, have some of me

Well... Today I found out that (maybe) I won't have Latin B next year, because some of my classmates from there (Latin A) are not going to choose Latin B for next year.. I do know they all have thier very good reasons and so on.. but I still can't help that I feel a little disappointed, not with anybody, not towards a person.. BUT.. disappointed with the whole scenario.. I'll just hope for the best I guess.. I really want to keep study Latin..

And my English teacher's other parent died.. so we didn't have any English today.. we've talked about it with one of our principals too.. and our form teacher.. but they are reluctant.. I guess they don't think it's a problem as much as we do, I mean, it's not them, but us who are in the shit.. well.. I'll get back to that.

So.. my parents are on their way to Tallin.. And we are doing fine.. I've cleaned my room.. and listened to music.. basicly.. The day isn't over yet so I'll wash the dishes and get to my Latin-homework.. That's how I expect things to go down before I'll sleep.. tomorrow is the last day before a longer period withour school, and it feels soooooo GOOD .. And I suppose my cousin and aunt will come here tomorrow or the day after that.. I don't know which, don't really care right now either

Oh, and I'll watch the newest episode of Naruto.

The song of today:
Songbird by Eva Cassidy

This is one of the many cases that prove that the good people die first (To those of you who don't understand; We discussed religion a little today during lunch, that ended up with us creating different religions, and my religion was.. well.. mostly about all the values I value (XD).. And my first statement, my first truth as the head of my own religion was that the good always die first, and I know I stole that idea from a couple of different guys, but it is true!).. I almost could have picked any of the songs she's done and praise it as much, I mean, you've got to look far and wide to find a more sincere, touching voice.. Really, really.. really great.

Vale~

Carry on, carry on!

My Geography test will not take place tomorrow, it has been moved to the wednesday after the "sportlov" ("Sport's holidays", basicly a week off, without school.. which is next week by the way). The reason it was moved was because my class complained.. I don't mind but I don't think that it will change my result at least..

Oh, and my parents are going away tomorrow, my mother got into a qualifying place in an online poker tournament on my dad's account at that poker site/client (My dad was working at the time and couldn't play it himself) .. So the qualifying thing was to get to play a live poker tournament in Tallin, Estonia.. so they will go over there by boat tomorrow and they will be home.. on monday or something.. one of them got their trip paid for.. So.. well.. my aunt and my cousin are going to come over during the weekend so me and my sister won't be home alone all that much.

Not having a test tomorrow.. made my day so much lazier, so nice! I had time to shower and shave my face and all that stuff XD.. (NO, NO, that wasn't a serious statement indicating that I'm gross.. it WASN'T! or maybe I should say that I am gross, because only the people who really are gross have to repeat to themselves that they aren't gross.. see what I'm saying here?)

But; I thought my first lesson was at 10... Now.. that wasn't the case at all, apparently; my first lesson was canceled.. and nobody had told me, it wasn't a last minute decision either.. And I hadn't been told.. well.. most of my class had some..thingy.. instead.. but I didn't.. so I could have slept 'til I couldn't sleep no more! My next lesson was at 12.. two hours later.. so yeah.. really great!.. made the time go away with an old.. well... friend..or classmate.. But.. I could have slept so much longer..

Anyway, , , , comma comma comma

The song of today:
Don't Stop Me Now OR Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

I mean.. you can't choose one of them, for me, my choice would depend on my mood.. So, I took both!
The reason?

Just because they are great
I almost thought about having I Want To Break Free too, as a third option, for those flipped out.. whatnots

YES, I like commas.. .... .. .. . ... ... I do..

English test and other whatnots

[Insert any type of tired-complaining-moan you can think of here].. It's getting late.. so... yeah.. maybe you should have that in mind when you're reading.

Anyway, went to school and had my little speach about Jorge Luis Borges, that was... ok I guess, I didn't do all that well.. but I don't think I screwed up terribly at least. And the last lesson was the english test.. the questions were as weird and spread as they've been.. well.. the whole autumn term and this year too.. but this time at least I was prepared for it.. even though it's still stupid..

We (or I) discussed our English teacher with some more of our classmates today.. we all feel kind of the same.. well, I'll tell you about how that goes when I've got more news about that.. I don't like complaining or conflict or whatever.. but this is important, so it needs to be done.

And I tried to rest up a little today.. played Naruto-Arena and Soul-Arena some.. and listened to Dane Cook.. Great comedian.

Oh.. and while writing this I noticed an error in spelling I know I did during the test.. It feels like it's much, much easier to write here in every way.

The song of today:
I'll Never Be You by Dane Cook

I just had to.. A great comedical song.. well, mostly. It's still great! Great for what it is.. well.. it's not entirely random fun, it does have a great core lyrical context, even though he brings in demented monkeys and such.. Well, it's a good (at least) song any way you want to look at it.

Buh bye~

Monday, 16 February 2009

VARNING! If you don't like the serious, involved-in-things side of me, don't read!

This was a day of active interest in lots of things, after the first lesson wich was Latin, I had "Staden och Framtiden", we have discussed what we got out of the "interviews" from the previous weeks, and how we will continue with our teachers. After that, we had (well, first lunch and then;) English.. we listened to the texts we are having a test on tomorrow, and then we were to study words in small rooms, I went into one of them with two classmates, we mostly discussed our teacher in English.. more furiously as we were getting into the subject, the more I think of her, the more I feel like she's the worst teacher I've ever had, I can handle a teacher that is sloppy or late or even kind of useless.. The thing is that this teacher lacks qualities that I outright demand from a teacher, in short it's;
1. The teacher must be able to teach me something at least. (No, I'm not learning, I'm more likely devolving my knowledge in the subject.)
2. I don't want one or two tests/oral reports -or other things like that- a week. (I just figured out that that is the main reason why I don't have any stamina over for my homework (like Latin and Spanish))

3. I want my teacher to be able to corectly check/correct my tests! (As far as I know, EVERYBODY in my class are getting grades lower than they deserve (it's the same story whoever you ask), she doesn't even look at what people write, she only looks at the key and follow it without hesitation, I know many of my answers DID work too, it was just as correct as the answer that was supposed to be there)
4. The teacher needs to listen, take critique and change! (She doesn't, she keeps on going in her pace, and when you try to complain she blames it on the fact that her parent died and the other were in the hospital (in think it was), of course I understand that that must be hard.. but if she lets that get in the way of our grades and future, then I think she should stop working for a year or two and let someone capable of doing their work correctly take over.)

We decided to talk about it during our Swedish-class, with our form teacher.. we were aiming to involve some of our classmates before and then talk about the subject... that wasn't the way things went down.. first; everybody (especially the teacher who's got most of the responsiblity) forget about us.. so when we finally checked our mobile phones for the time; we were already late for the next lesson (which was the Swedish-lesson).. so we hurried there.. and when we arrived the whole class was in the middle of choosing courses for next year.. filling in forms and things like that.. so we kind of didn't have time for complaining, wasn't a good moment for that at all. And, the forms didn't allow us to read all the courses we've been told since long are great (for future studies) to read.. it's just sick.. I'm sick of all sorts of corrupted systems and other such things right now... well, then our classmates had a minor oral report about some works of shakespeare.. and then we watched a version of Romeo & Juliet.. and then the Swedish-lesson was over...

Then some positive active interest again! Namely "Staden och Framtiden", we started to make questions for forms.. and made a plan for the future.. It's really fun and so on..

God it was nice to write all this.. well, back to my studies, I've had a one hour break today, other than that I've studied.. well, I watched One Piece too.. but other than that; I've surprised myself with how determined I can be.. well, I'll go back to that now.. I studied Geography and finished a work about Jorge Luis Borges for my Spanish-class tomorrow.. I studied some English too, I'll continue with the English now, bye.

The song of today:
Hands by Jewel

Great song! Fantastic voice and a clean, acoustic sound. And, I often love songs because of the lyrics.. I'm not gonna say more than;

"If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all ok
And not to worry because worry is wasteful and useless in times like these"

That's the beginning of the song.

Goodbye~

Distractions

The day started kind of the way yesterday started (with Naruto-arena and Soul-arena), then I thought I'd study.. But I kept postponing it all the time.. then it was time for my new pills I got this week.. and I just happened to watch the tv.. and Merlin was on tv, in case you didn't know; I'm totally sold for these kinds of tv-series/films/books/whatever... So I watched it.. And I wanted Lancelot to stay!..

Well.. then I finally started to work a little on some translation from Latin to Swedish, that wasn't homework but I think I'm a little after the rest of the class so I felt like I needed to work some on that. Then; of course, the one show I had planned to watch today started; "Snillen Snackar" I kind of like that show.. and after that I happened (stupid as I am) to flip the chanel and got stuck watching "Breaking the Magician's Code: Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed" or, as it is called in Sweden "Trollkarlens hemligheter"(The secrets of the magician). Well.. that's just great, anyway, after that I finished my Latin translation and then went here, to write and read blog. After this I think I'll try to study some English or Geography or something at least.. before I go to sleep, because it's getting late.

The song of today:
This Years Love by David Gray

Don't even get me started, this song is fantastic, it is very beautiful, lyrics, and especially the music, I just love every single little bit. I feel that the song is heartbreaking. There's nothing more to say; a great voice used the right way, a great & simple instrumental background and great lyrics.

Singin'; ain't this life so sweet~

Bloody Valentine

Well, I've played Naruto-Arena and Soul-Arena (at the same time) today while listening to mostly Lars Winnerbäck, really a slacker-day. The only real interuption was Melodifestivalen I guess.. I'm only going to say this about it; Lasse Lindh and Cookies N Beans deserved better, Amy Diamond and Lili & Sussi sucked and I don't like the new rules.

It's not that I don't want to write more than this, it's just that I don't have anything to write about, I think I'll try to do homework and clean my room tomorrow.

Oh, and I got my Spanish-test back yesterday.. I didn't do well, infact my worst result ever.. I think. I don't know what I'll do about it.. maybe nothing, maybe I'll make an effort to get better.

The song of today:
My Bloody Valentine by Good Charlotte

Well.. for obvious reasons? (You can find my thoughts about Valentines day in the post named "A little bit of everything" posted Tuesday, 3 February 2009) The song isn't about my thoughts about valentine but it does have some tragic elements mixed into a song containing some valentine. The lyrics are great, both beautiful and terrible content.

Good night people!

Friday the thirteenth

Today is friday the thirteenth! So much more worth celebrating than the holiday tomorrow, well, in my mind at least. My classmate told me that friday the thirteenth is the day when least people have accidents just because they think they will and are extra careful because of that, I don't find that hard to believe at all, it does make sense. So, I like friday the thirteenth, it's kind of different from.. well any other day we celebrate. So, I hope you had a nice friday the thirteenth, I sure had.

I went up at seven, even though I had my first lesson at half past nine, I watched some tv and did some of my latin homework, it was nice and calm, of course I ate my new (red and yellow-colored) pills and all that... And finally it was time to go to school, the latin lesson was kind of easy going, we got questioned a bit about our homework and then we went to two different classrooms to advertise the Latin course a little bit.. and then we basicly were done and could have some lunch, I met a friend (an old classmate, we were in the same class during 10 years) on my way there, so we went to eat, today was schools version of pizza.. kind of like small pan-pizza squares, it's tasty but not as tasty as pizza should be. Well I ate 10 of them haha. After that I went to the school-library to get a new schedule, and happened to introduce two of my classmates to a "funny" blog me and Simon (the one I told you about in my post from the Febuary 7 (2009 of course)) are running.. (no, it's not this one XD)
Then it was time for my spanish lesson, we didn't do a thing, me and the classmate who told me about friday the thirteenth (beeing so non-accidental) went to the school-library to get a picture of Jorge Luis Borges, we have an oral report about him on tuesday (I think).

Anyway, when I got home (Yes I only had two lessons, fridays are my shortest days) at one o'clock; I walked my dogs, started my computer, laid on my bed.. and fell asleep! God it's nice to sleep some during the day.. too bad I never do it.. I think this is the second time I can remember.. (well, I don't remember being a small child so much).. I don't know why I was so tired either, I've been a little sleepy all day.. well, then the day went on, I played soul-arena for the first time ever, well it's very much like naruto-arena so it wasn't that hard getting into it.

Kenny is in the southern parts of Sweden right now, with my (or rather our mutual) friend from the net that I've met three times, all of them during UppCon (UC07,UC08 and UC09).. they've been messaging me on both msn and via sms since he got there (yesterday).. I don't know why they need to make such a huge point of me not beeing there, I mean, of course I would like to be there but I have my studies (can't skip school for three days) and also my "economy" (it definately isn't cheap to go there) to think of, it's been the same thing with her every time she's (my friend from the net) had someone over at her place that I also know.. Of course I'd rather be there.. but I can't so stop asking things like "are you jealous?" and so on.. if they are having so much fun, shouldn't they just leave both msn and phone until Kenny goes home (I think it is on monday)? Well, they are getting away lightly, I'm in a great mood, they won't (even though it does feel like they try;) bring me down.

That's the show for today.... I think.

The song of today:
First Love by Utada Hikaru

I was surprised to see that I didn't have Utada as one of my "The song of today"'s yet, I had so much to choose from too; Simple And Clean, Kiss & Cry and Passion are all great songs, each with a special touch to them. Her version of "Fly me to the moon (in other words)" is so sweet too! Anyway, First Love still wins because it's increadibly sweet and heartbreaking. I'm in love with the song, it's as simple as that, and I heard this song a long time ago the first time. I don't mind that part (or most) of the lyrics is in Japanese, maybe that just adds to the feeling. I started to like Utada Hikaru's music because of Kingdom Hearts (one of my favorite game-series). I just love it!
♪I hope I have a place in your heart too♪
I just love it!

On to the next adventure!

Hospital

Well, now I've been to the hospital two days in a row, yesterday it was to take the first shot of the Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) vaccine, my mother thought it would be a good idea.. but she only managed to convince one half of my family (meaning me and her).. my sister is afraid of needles and my father didn't want to either.

Today I went to the hospital to check my acne.. Since things we've tried before havn't helped.. so we got a medical prescription for some pills and one.. thingy.. with.. well liquid substance that I'm supposed to put directly on the skin. Anyway I'm going to use both of them both morning and evening each day for several months now.. I hope it will help.

I missed a little of my last lesson today because I had to go see the doctor, didn't do much during most of my lessons today, progressed some in both mathematics and history.. but not in the other subjects, a kind of relaxed day.

Anyway, I really feel like I've done stuff that needs to be done today.. walked the dogs and other things besides going to the doctor which is the major point. I've only got some minor homework to do now, then I'm done and can go to sleep. A satisfying day

Oooooooooh! *High-five*.. xD.. If you don't understand, just skip it and move along.

The song of today:
Herr Svenssons Dotter by Governor Andy

Well, I've had Kapten Röd before so you might know that I like Sweish Reggae, this is one of the good ones like that. I really like the "attitude" of the song, not too serious and not the other way around either, as always with reggae; it's got a nice groove too.

Peace out!

Everything isn't meant to be okay

I edited "Not happening!" a little, I realized that I had a Linkin Park song as "the song of today" for the second time.. And I don't like that XD

Anyway.. I'm bored...

The song of today:

Where the days have no name

Well, the English test was quite like I thought it would be.. quite easy but full with stupid-ass questions that almost didn't make sense in the context.. sometimes I wonder if the people making those tests actually know English..

Oh, and I'm free tomorrow! Woho! No school !!

Well.. since I got home I've walked the dogs two times, the second time because they called from my dads work and wanted him to work extra.. so he asked if I could help out with the dogs.. YEAH, that is the most exciting I am going to tell you today, you better believe it because nothing happened today.. I.. think.... ... ..

Yeah..

Yup, pretty much sure about that...

Oh, there's a video of me as UppCon Dude.. (the inofficial superhero of the Animé/Manga convention UppCon I made up).. on Youtube.. all you've got to do to watch it.. is... search for.. Uppcon Dude..................... oh.... you....you want a link or something?.. well.. YOU AIN'T GETTIN' ONE.. you've got to work for your reward.. or.. punishment.. or whatever you might consider it to be.

The song of today:
Skinny Love by Bon Iver

A song with a really nice feeling to it, I really like the whole thing, no need to go into details.. In other news; there is no doubt that I like this song the most from the album, the other ones sound experimental or something to me, they are nice but I like this song more.. Well, maybe it's just me.

Dismissed

Monday, 9 February 2009

Let's just call it a day

I've got to be honest, I'm not feeling very well physically, I think it's a suppressed cold or disease/sickness or whatever. Well, I'll get through, I don't want to get into details if you know what I mean. If you don't know, then just ignore that and kindly move along.

School only meant three lessons for me today, two of the ordinary ones were cancelled.

During todays "Staden och Framtiden", we had a meeting with.. well, I guess you could say they're both two people really involved with the sparetime-activities of my town, that was even more inspiring, we've got something to work with now when we create our questions, I'm really excited, maybe we won't have any inpact.. but it's fun, it really feels like they want to see the results of our work and that they can use it. I hope this'll turn out great, at least I have a good feeling about the whole thing.

I'm gonna have a "general" English test tomorrow.. nothing I could study for even if I wanted to, I'm not worried at all, I'm quite relaxed about it.

And I watched the new episode of One Piece today, it's as great as ever! ♪We are! We are!♪

Other than that, this was a calm, kind of fun, day (I could not even begin to compare with last year, when I was in the worst school-class of my life.. even though; in the end it wasn't THAT bad)

The song of today:
Brighter Than Sunshine by Aqualung

I think the song fitted somewhat with this day, calm but generally positive and with the "nothing's-going-to-ruin-my-day"-feeling. I think I heard Aqualung for the first time when I watched Wicker Park, a movie I consider to be great by the way. Anyway; I feel good when listening to this song, that's why it was chosen today. I was thinking about having Strange And Beautiful be the song of today.. But in the end, Brighter Than Sunshine fitted my mood better, both are great songs from Aqualung so I didn't have to think all that much.

Over and out

Not happening!

I feel like nothing happened today, I've just relaxed, really relaxed. I've got nothing to say about today, I showered and I ate food.. Nothing happened.. And this time I really mean it XD.. I havn't done any of the school work I was supposed to do, I guess I'll do it quickly before I go to sleep.

I did come up with an idea which kind of makes fun of all things ever broadcasted on tv.. well, mostly reality television.. anyway, at least I thought it was kind of funny, you don't have to read it if you don't want to, here it is anyway;

Tv-show (A parody)

It starts out with 20 contestants, 3 of them are monkeys, 9 of them are celebrities and the other eight are normal people who qualified via internet the normal guys had to show a picture of them selves and then an international jury decided which one should be in based on their looks. The competition starts out with a quiz, each contestants go into a room and answer the same questions one at a time, for each question you answer correctly you get a clue where to go or you get some kind of means to get there, like a free helicopter ride halfway there or a pair of ice-skates. When that moment is done, the first 10 who gets to the place everybody is supposed to go to (often on another continent than they started) are still in the competition, the other ones are out, if the time goes up before 10 people have reached the place, the last places are taken by "wild cards" basicly famous replacements, except for one of them who's won a lottery ticked and got in that way. Then the ten gets to compete in singing a newscast in front of a jury (meanwhile everybody selects one of their close family members), the winner of that part gets to chose one of the other contestants the contestant's (that is chosen) family member will then be (first revealed and then) paired with the one who picked the person, this goes on until the person who ended up last in the newscast competition. Then each pair will be locked into big rooms, filled only with raw materials, some sand, a smal pool of water and some wild animals, the contestants are to build a camp each, after one week, a human with some kind of strange body-feature (like dwarfs or really bearded ladies) is let into each of the big rooms, they are to create a third camp within the rooms. When the second week is up, the three persons in each room are to vote for someone to leave the room and also the competition, the last week, the two remaining contestants gets to learn to perform a sport (different each season but could be dancing or soccer or something), in the end of the week they compete in the sport, the loser is out of the competition and the winner gets to fight a gladiator (not just any gladiator though, they are all professional wrestlers), they hit each other with gigant rods on top of a gigant pedestals until one of them falls into the water. When the winner in each match is declared, the viewers get to vote, they are deciding wheter the winner in each gladiator-competition gets to keep the prize-money or if it will go to charity.

The song of today:
In Between by Linkin Park

I didn't realize it was such a long time since I listened to Linkin Park.. Really.. Linkin Park means nostalgia to me, I had the Hybrid Theory album.. it was one of the first times I really feel that I started to like music the way I do now, I mean, there's childrens cds left here in my room that I had when I was little.. that wasn't (in my opinion) any real taste in music on my part, often my parents or other adults bought them for me and you are not the same person as a child as when you are a bit older and so on... Well, I'll admit I havn't heard all of the newer songs, I think I'll listen to them more some time during this week.. I first thought I'd pick Breaking The Habit, that's one of my absolute favorite songs by them.. but then Spotify played In Between and I changed my mind, I've only heard that song some times before but it's really great! Love it, even though it's kind of different compared to Linkin Park's other songs.. maybe it's because of that.. you know, like with Nothing Else Matters and Metallica... oh well.. just listen if you feel like it.

Keep up the.. uhm.. reading-my-blog spirit!

[EDITED February 11 year 2009 according to the Gregorian calendar;

DOH! I HAD HAD LINKIN PARK AS MY "THE SONG OF TODAY" BEFORE... I'm ashamed.. and therefore here's another one, to make up for my mistake XD;
Welcome to YouTube by Bo Burnham

Simply because it is funny, beautiful and truthful! As you may've noticed if you've read my blog; I spend well.. much time on YouTube, I like this song and now I've corrected my mistake.. even though it's still there for all to see.]

Relaxed and at ease

Finally I've got both the spirit and inspiration to write (in this blog)! Of course I'm comparing with yesterday's low.

Anyway; I woke up feeling somewhat cleansed from all bad things from yesterday (That walk sure did the trick, going to bed yesterday was one of the best "going-to-bed"-moments I've had, you know, when you feel that you are completely worn out, both body and soul and then you stretch out on your bed, feel great and just fall asleep some moments later.) even though I didn't feel good, I just felt empty and ready to start anew. The next thing I'm starting my computer, eating breakfast, starting Msn. My good friend Simon from the net wrote to me some minutes later, it made my day, I'll tell you that (you'll find his blog in the list of blogs I follow).

So, after that I felt quite good and the rest of the day I devoted myself to (mostly music) culture, I looked around Svt Play, the webtv service of our Swedish tv-network Svt. I didn't know we had so many good shows about culture. I watched all episodes available of both "Hype" and "Musikministeriet", I wanted to watch "Popcirkus" too but time ran away quickly and suddenly the time was 20:00, which ment "Melodifestivalen", the Swedish competition to select our contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest.. Personally I don't like the looks of things, the lineup isn't as good as it could be, I'd like more alternative musicians, now it's mostly boring, flat pop music without any edge. Additionally my two favorites didn't do all that well, I liked Nina Söderquist and Caroline Af Ugglas. Well, I don't really care about the competition all that much anymore, it's just tradition for me to watch it.

I did watch Help! like I said I would yesterday.

Also; another online friend, LostCatAngel really made me feel good and that people cared or something, she wrote sometime during midday or something today, it's good to know that there's some people there if I need them, thanks! (You'll find her blog both as a follower and as a blog I follow).

And; the last thing which may not be all that interesting is that I've had a different hairstyle some hours now, and believe me; that's unusual! I was watching webtv and unconsciously started to gather my hair in my hand.. so when I finally noticed I though "why not?", went and found a tuft and made a knot.
Before:

After:

(I made the pictures in paint because if I want to take a picture I have to ask my sister for her camera and so on.. I do not have the patience, especially since she's got like 6 friends or something in her room)

The song of today:
Jag Vill Bara by Timbuktu

Actually; I've completely fallen in love with the whole album (En High 5 och 1 Falafel), this is one of the few times I really feel the album from the first time I listen to it, it's just great. Timbuktu's got really powerful and meaningful lyrics.. and a great beat. I can't even begin to explain how great this album and song is. It's also the first time I noticed that they added something to Spotify instead of taking things away.

You'll read more of me later on ;D

So do you

I have to say, this is one of those moments I really shouldn't write, I shouldn't write anything here, but I do anyway. The reason why writing today isn't a good thing is because I'm not feeling all that good, my mind is a mess and my body feels torn, I'm not going into details but nothing has happened, nothing has happened at all, so don't worry about it, it's just one of my really low moments, they occur from time to time....

Well, I don't want to describe that more, so I thought I'd tell you about my "solution". I went outside about 22:45, just to take a walk.. I've started doing that when nothing else helps, when neither msn nor games or anything else helps. Anyway I just got inside again from that, the clock is 00:45 (I'll adjust the time for this post so that the right day'll show).. For those of you who know your way around my town; I walked from the old water tower to the very end of "Skuggan 3" (and back too of course), to where the forest start and houses end. For those of you how don't know your way around my town; I walked to the outskirts of my town that's the farthes away from my home, basicly the longest way I could walk in any direction before I'd encounter forest or huge fields (the countryside).

The main reason I don't like to explain it any further is that I don't want my blog to be depressing or filled with whining.

Ok; good thing; I watched "skavlan" on tv today, Lars Winnerbäck was one of the guests, he's as brilliant as ever. The bad thing is that I missed the comedy show "Hjälp!" because of that, why does the only two shows I want to watch have to be aired at the same time?.. I'm just wondering. I'll watch "Hjälp!" tomorrow..today.. on the web.

The song of today:
Man Must Dance by Johnossi

YES! This song is great! I just recently found out about this song, I looked it up on Spotify and I've listened to it about 40 times today I think *laughs*. So yeah, great, not that complicated, does have a great beat and it's also catchy with (to some extent;) joyful lyrics. I really enjoy this song.

♪You & you & you & you a monkey needs to dance so do you♪

Thin post is thin

Today was the most uneventful day in a long time, seriously; nothing happened. Nothing happened in school.. Nothing happened during class, and nothing happened during the breaks either. We spoke about sportsmen in groups during English-class, I introduced Jan Ove Waldner to those in my group... And nothing has happened since I got home.

I did watch some Youtube-videos though, I found this Asian guy who made instruments out of different vegetables, mostly ocarinas and mostly carrots, he's amazing *laughter*. I'm telling you, that guy's got some talent.. if not; at least he's got imagination.

The song of today:
Why Can't We Be Friends? by War

What can I say? A great "feel-good-song", I really get happy when I hear this song, then I sing along during the chorus. I love the song, and I know that my taste of music is kind of wide XD

Bye, bye friend!

It's the end of a calm day

I had my first lesson at 10.00 today, so I got to sleep a little longer, even though I'm not good at using those opporunities so of course I was up at 07.30 or something like that. I watched some tv and then packed and went to the local indoor baths, where I had my first lesson of the day, since I had done all other things we were supposed to do before; I had to swim with clothes on, it's got to do with the lifesaving-part of the course. When we were done we took a sauna and then we had to hurry back to school, quickly eat some lunch and then go to the next lesson, which was Mathematics, after that we had Geography and then I was done and went home, it's nice to only have 3 lessons. Quite a relaxed day in other words, since then I've listened to some music and watched some tv-shows on the internet and I just watched the new episode of Bleach. I think I really needed this day, it's been stressful these last days.

I watched Bruce Springsteen's Half time show from Super Bowl on Youtube, all I could do was to smile through the whole thing, he's such a great live-artist. I really hope my dad gets tickets to one of his concerts this summer, seeing him a third time would be awesome to say the least.

Well.. I do have some homework I have to get done before my English-class tomorrow, I'll start doing that now and then I think I'll watch Made In Sweden on Swedish chanel Tv4.

The song of today:
Say by John Mayer

I fell in love with this song when I saw the movie "The Bucket List" barely a week ago, it played during the credits and I felt I had to check it out, I didn't know who John Mayer was, but he's really great, I think "Say" feels really encouraging and it's really true too. I'm good at keeping things to myself, I've got that "I don't want to bother other people with my problems (and presence)"-attitude/behaviour.. I'm not at all proud that I'm that way but that's the way it is, so that's why I feel like this song encourages me. I really enjoy the intro, it just makes me feel good.

Sleep tight!

A little bit of everything

Well... I've done both tests now, I didn't do extreamly well on any of them but I wasn't that bad either, it feels like I'll get medium-grades for both of them, a little above average but not topgrades either.

I got into a little discussion on Msn, about Valentine's Day.. Well, I kinda started the discussion, I claimed that Valentine's Day was something bad, the worst tradicion ever, infact; the worst day of the year. Of course the other two person's didn't agree.. Maybe you don't agree either, but let me explain myself, I'm not saying you have to agree after I've explained either, just let me explain my point of view.
1. Valentine's Day is commercialistic, all the gifts and so on.. are we that superficial?.. I for one wouldn't like to think so. I think it's bad enough that everybody buys tons of gifts during Christmas, that is the one part of Christmas I don't like acctually. Sure, getting presents is fun, but when I think about it; I don't feel any better in the long run.. well, I don't feel better at all, getting presents during Christmas often makes me jealous.. and jealousy never was and never will be good in any way. I think Christmas presents can bring out a lot of other bad qualities. So why have another holiday based around giving presents to each other?
2. In most countries (not all but the majority) Valentine's Day is for couples.. I don't know any holiday that celebrates individuals without partners, I mean.. there's Mother's Day and Father's Day.. And most other holidays doesn't leave anyone out. I do think that Valentine's Day may be a good holiday for people who's got somebody to share it with.. still; there's a whole lot of singles out there.. and as I've experienced it; the holiday really has the opposite effect on a lot of people.

Aaaand that's the end of that inner discussion. Or whatever that was...

Well.. I've mentioned the tests.. and Valentine's Day.. Oh, right, I just wanted you to know that I'm really comfortable with my school class this year, everyone in it is (with maybe one or two exceptions) really kind-hearted and wonderful.

I didn't do much on my freetime today, I got Mirror's Edge back from my classmate today, I downloaded the new free map from Playstation Store and tried to beat all of my time trial records, he did have better times than me on almost every track, but I'll catch up.

I listened to the new album The Fray released today too, it's hard to say if it was as good as their previous work.. but I do think there was some great songs there, I liked Ungodly Hour the most I think, cause it reminded me the most of their previous songs... Although "You Found Me"'s great too...

I'll try to get my well-earned sleep now, I'm mighty tired.

The song of today:
Mercy by Sam Hart a.k.a. Blinktwice4y a.k.a. Mario Kart Guy

Have I ever told.. well... anyone that I'm so into acoustic music?..No? Well now I have, I love the feeling that it is really pure and from the heart you get from acoustic music. Although the song does has got to have great lyrics. Obviously this song does have both, combine that with a voice I find really great and you've got this song.. Compared to his most famous song; Mario Kart Love Song, this one doesn't have that (although "charming"(in lack of better words)) reference-fun part- I do like the Mario Kart Love Song but I prefer Mercy, I can really feel those lyrics more. Listen to it, it's on YouTube, not hard to find at all with all the information I just gave you.

Have a good one //yours truely

Sweden in early february

At least where I live (somewhere in the middle part of Sweden) we've got a layer of snow on the ground right now, not as thick as I remember from my childhood, but still, I would say there's a 1 dm thick layer. The tempature is somewhere around 0°C, sometimes more, sometimes less. The sun shines during school hours but not all that long after that. That was the weather-report haha. No, I wanted to give you an insight of how my enviroment is right now, you know a little about how depressing it can be, eventhough sometimes beautiful.

Enough about that, I think mostly why I noticed that all of a sudden is that I've got so much work in school, I had a Swedish-class test today, about that book I read during the weekend and tomorrow I've got two more tests in different subjects, so basicly what I'm doing today except writing here is studying. I think that I havn't had time to think about things like that, I mean, like the weather and all. So when I began to think of it, I got caught in it because I do need a little rest from all the schoolwork.

One interesting thing is regarding "Staden och Framtiden" (Directly translated it reads "City and the Future") a subject I have on mondays, we learn about the development of cities, why they were built in different places during different periods of times, how the plan for cities look and also a little smaller scale arciteture (the arcitecture is not a big part of the subject at all). Anyway, that class have been offered to help out with the new planning for our city/town, they are basicly making a map with possible areas for different things, like; where should industries lie and where should there be playgrounds or residential houses and so on, the plan is looking over a timespan of about 20-30 years into the future. What we've been asked to do is to do some research about what the youth of my town desires, what they think is missing, like activities and shops and if they think they are in need of a place to hang out and so on, additionally we are to check where most people hang out when they are outside. In the end we are to have some sort of clear result or we will propose something that we have found out is needed. I am a little excited about this as you may notice but think about it;

1. This is not at all like any other schoolwork I've experienced so far
2. We may well influence the future of our hometown.

I forgot to tell you yesterday that I've got Spotify now, the great audiostreaming program, I just love it, I do believe it is one of the greatest ideas of "modern time". So that's where I listen to music nowadays.

As you may understand I've got a lot of studying to do so I won't tell you anything more about what've happened since last time, that can wait until I've got time to do something again.

The song of today:
Crosses by José González

LOVELY, DIFFERENT, BRILLIANT.
That's my thoughts about it, if I were to describe it very shortly.. oh wait.. I guess I am describing it very shortly because I really need to study now, just listen to it and make up your own opinion if you want more information. The song Teardrop by the same guy is almost as good.

Until next time; I'll see you guys.

Sunday, 1 February 2009

Hey! Guess what !?!?

*Silence*.. no guesses?.. Aw.. is it just me or are you guys as quiet as this blog has been the last.. two months? You like the spirit, right ? I get yah', I get yah'. Anyway; the big news is; I AM STILL HERE! Can you believe it? No? Well, me neither, as always; my inspiration to write comes from other people, sadly the person who inspired me to start this blog after my first one doesn't have her blog left, it is gone. On to positive news; I found out about another online-friend's blog just some days ago.. And so that inspired me to write now, 'cause I realized that I havn't written anything.. since last year really XD.. I think of this blog many times more than I write in it and that's a shame, a real shame BUT I will try to do better from now on.

Well....

This was so much fun I forgot to actually have anything to say.. let's see.. I've done tons of things since last time, I will tell you some about maybe the most important stuff later on when I've got time on my hands, until then; this;

Is all I have to say about perhaps the most important thing since last time; UPPCON:09. As I said; more about that later.. maybe. The thing is that I started the day by reading a book that is supposed to be finished tomorrow, yes, I finished it.. But the rest of the day I've been like a walking ghost, seriously.. Can't bring me to do anything else.. well, there's a tomorrow too.. schoolday, woooooopdedadaho! Something like that.

Well, I looked through my collection of poems and smart stuff and things like that I've got on my computer, I write things I find meaningful there, mostly my own "work".. So; I thought I would give you the one that is in English, it's a "saying" (or something like that) I made up;
Life's like a bad rent-movie;You've payed for the crap so you'll have to sit back and watch it the remaining 100 minutes or so

Aaaand finally;

The song of today:
Use Somebody by Kings of Leon

A heads up from my sister (thank you), she told me to listen to it, I loved it from the start.. Unfortunatly for me, when I started to listen to all their other songs.. I didn't find any song as good as this, eventhough they were great too, they were not as great, my sister does have some taste in music from my point of view at least. It's a shame I got to hear the best song first, what I want when I look through songs from some band or somthing is to be more and more stunned by the many different stunningly beautiful and powerful - or something like that - songs. I'm sorry this wasn't the case this time, but I believe that they will have more great songs in the future, oh well, love this song, the whole song through is a great feast, I really fall into the song and imagine all sorts of things, the song is a great storyteller and I feel like I completely understand what is sung, eventhough I probably don't haha.

Well, that's that for now, have a great time.. being you.
