So..

So.. I had my 2.5 hour Latin lesson today.. It's long.. obviously. Other than that I spent some time looking at videos at Youtube with my Dad some, mostly music.

And I'm going to Kenny tomorrow.

The song of today:

Under Månen by Lars Winnerbäck

I havn't had any Lars Winnerbäck song here until now because, first I wanted to save that until after the concert and then I hadn't listened all that much to Lars' songs and I thought it would be unfair to just throw in some random song. Still, I had a really hard time choosing, mostly 'cause all his songs are great, it's crazy hard to choose one, so listen to the others too if you like this one. You've got to say that the lyrics are great, there's no other word to describe it.. And then there's that little something that makes Lars Winnerbäck so unbeliveably good.

Fall is...

Yesterday I got more active on Mcleodgaming again, now I'm helping out with another game besides SSF2. And today was a rather nice day, not all that easy stuff in school but not all that hard and tenacious either. I made some PA (Pixel Art) for my "new" sprite character Uc-Dude:

I like it, I do think it's hard to apreciate my own work at times but I'm really satisfied with this one.

Besides "The song of today"; "I'm sitn' down here in the campfire light.. waintin' on the ghost of Tom Joad" echoes in my head. (Bruce Springsteen)

The song of today:
Fall Is Just Something Grownups Invented by The Hives

"
Woo-hoo

They say our summer vacation
Has come to and end
And that we simply have no more
Holiday to spend

They say no more barefoot
No playin' around in the pool
They say now it's time for us
To go back to school

Got all my friends, a teacher, okay
But why do we really have to study all day
Well see I’m on to your scam and I’ll tell you how
We ended up with a Fall that we know of now

A time was invented to keep the kids in the hall
They gave it a name and we now know it as Fall
The line of the story that I have presented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented.

Though some things in Fall are just too good to pass
Jumping in leaves and Halloween is a gas
But I’d rather see to it that the truth be told
So I better do it now before I grow old

They wanted a break after the summer disarray
To rest up then handle the stress of Christmas day
So the grown-ups got together and made up the rule
That kids shouldn’t be playing
No they should be in school

A time was invented to keep the kids in the hall
They gave it a name and we now know it as Fall
The line of the story that I have presented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented.

Kick it

A time was invented to keep the kids in the hall
They gave it a name and we now know it as Fall
The line of the story that I have presented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented.

Fall is just something that grown-ups invented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented
"

It says it all, that's my thoughts right now.

A long day

Today I woke up with a massive headache and I was more tired than ever. Well after that "great" start the day got even more tough, I had Two History lessons AND two "Culture and Idea History" lessons.. I had a lunchbreak that only lasted 35 minutes. And I had English and Spanish too.. So I'm all worn out now, really.

Oh and I wrote a little something just now.. well 'cause I felt like it;

"You and me
The two first fallen leaves from a withered tree
Two souls far from all the others.
Two canaries in a large group of crows.
We who thought we knew it all.
We were never gonna fall.

We carried the world upon our shoulders but no one cared
We thought deep thoughts that no one shared.
I tried your life, you tried mine.
You'd look happy, I'd always frown.

We, the hero and the brave
Two of a kind with really different minds.

I was there for you when you didn't need it.
But also when you begged and pleaded.

You cried in the rain, wishing the world would go sane.
I swept the tears of the sky from your eyes even though it was in vain.

You fell, I cut of my shell and then I too fell
Freely in a swift moment before we hit the ground.
Never to ever make a new sound."

I like it.. don't know if you do though.. And I don't really know what I mean by all that.

The song of today:
Fidelity by Regina Spektor

Because her voice just gets right through you, I almost shiver.. In a possitive way.. when she sings, check out her other songs, they are not all that much alike each other.

Give me my summer back?

Well, at my cousins place we did the things we usually do; played video games.. mostly Super Smash Bros Brawl. I came back today.. and shaved of my "beard" for the first time by myself (My mother acctually shaved me one time this summer when we were at our "Summer place").
School tomorrow.. Give me back summer someone?

The song of today:
Shut Up And Let Me Go by The Ting Tings

Well.. I didn't like this band all THAT much at first but after listening some times (this was earlier this summer) I realised that it's acctually pretty good and this is the kind of music that makes you want to.. dance or do whatever..

Good night.

Latin

I had two lessons today, one was two and a half hour long, it was my first Latin lesson ever.. I don't know what I think about it yet.. I had Latin as my secondhand choice, I guess not enough people chose to continue a second year with our art-class.. I havn't found my keys yet if you were wondering.. And I'll go to my cousin with my family tomorrow.

And; I saw the movie Tenacious D - The Pick of Destiny, like..finally! 'cause I've listened to the music from the movie since.. the movie was new... So I'm glad I've finally seen it, I've wanted to see it for a long time now.

The song of today:
Write You A Song by Plain White T's

A nice song with a nice sound and a nice "message"..

Heeello school!..

Started school today, my "new" class was better than the last one.. at least that's what I think right now (We mixed two classes some depending on a "direction" choice we made at the end of the last school-year).. So that was positive.. Oh and I forgot to tell you about it yesterday; I lost my keys.. wich sucks.. 'cause I won't get into my house if nobody's home.. and I won't be able to ride my bike to school - I have to walk.. and I had to get a new lock for my locker at school.. and my bank-card is locked up in a drawer here at home. At school I got homework.. the first day.. I mean come on, that's a little mean. I got it from my new english teacher.. Well; I'll be off to do my homework now.

The song of today:
Poor Unfortunate Souls by The Jonas Brothers

I really love this version of the Disney song, they made it into something of they're own and they made it really good with a great sound! If you like disney covers I also recomend "What's this" by Fall Out Boy, from the movie The Nightmare before cristmast.

Music

Today I spent the whole day doing something that involves music.. the first 5 hours or so I spent sitting at the other computer or "The familys computer" sorting music.. I brought all I wanted from it to this computer so now I only have a few files left on that computer that I need. The other half, I found a thread at a swedish forum when I searched some on Google, the thread was named "The best line in a song".. So I started looking up the songs that I didn't know that people there recomended.. And I havn't listened to them all yet, I'm still doing it.

School starts tomorrow.. I hope this year will turn out better than the last.

The song of Today:

You Never Know by Immortal Technique

I just found this song.. maybe I won't think it's so great when I've listened to it some times.. like two weeks from now.. but right now I really like it, I was like "this is pretty good actually".. and then the song just grew and grew as the song came closer to the end, I got captured by it, just sat there and listened to the lyrics like I was under a spell or something. An interesting lifestory or something like that.

I really need to sleep right now

I went to Kenny yesterday and stayed until today, we played Brawl, Donkey Konga and we toyed around with Gmod, we populated a Mcdonalds map with random characters like Yoda and Sonic and others, when we were done it was 07.00 in the morning.. we were like "ooh.. maybe it's time to sleep".. so we did XD.. Oh and this Thursday school starts for me again.. I can't say I'm all that excited.. oh well ^^'...

The song of today:
Fuck was I by Jenny Owen Youngs

A great song, it's kind of a "simple" song if you know what I mean.. There's not great changes in the pace or anything like that.. still, I like everything about the song, it's harmonic and does have good lyrics, the song makes me feel a little bit better no matter when I listen to it.

The song of today:

Looking for something out of sight and reach

Well, I didn't feel all that well today, I can't seem to find the exact reason but I tried to explain it by saying something like this to some friends on msn:

"I don't know.. nothing have happened O.o.. uhm.. How do I explain it.. a little.. I don't know if it's lonely.. or.. uneventful or something.. monotonous.. I was out walking.. for like.. two hours or something I think.. and now I'm sitting here drawing and listening to Emil Jensen."

So.. something like that is the best way I can describe it.. and one of the few things that helped me feel a little better was Emil Jensens music...

The song of today:
[Insert song here] by Emil Jensen

Well, mostly because of how I feel I didn't want to pick one of the songs, they're all different from each other and the greatest about all the songs is the lyrics, definetly..
"Inte vackrast i världen", "Hur lyckliga kan vi bli", "Jag tror jag är nåt" and "Så får du mig ändå" are all some of the great songs by him.

Goodbye summer my friend

Uhm.. so I didn't write the last couple of days, didn't have much to write, sat here mostly, three friends came over and we went outside and mostly talked for most part, yesterday I went to what probably was the last concert of this year for me, Lars Winnerbäck performed but also Emil Jensen, Miss Li and Sofia Karlsson (yeah, the one I saw some weeks ago or something) everything was fantastic, I'm not going to say more than that, I think you know just how much I enjoy these sort of things.. Oh and I got a Winnerbäck t-shirt and a Sofia Karlsson t-shirt.

On another note I've been following the olympic games with great, swedish interest, it's almost funny how my nation makes me like any sport we're successful in.

The song of today:
Run by Amy Macdonald

You we're expecting a Winnerbäck song or at least one of the above, right? Well.. surprise, right?.. I just found out about this singer actually and this is the best of her songs I've heard yet, everything is right, it's touching and her voice, especially in the end of the song is beautiful.

Okaaaaay

I'm not as "down" as I was yesterday, I've started to book UppCon-ticets for me and my friends and I've been here all day, the new forums for Mcleodgaming was released today.

The song of today:
Nothing To Lose by Billy Talent

Yeah, continueing in the same sort of direction as yesterday, although I must admit this song is both about the lyrics and the music AND the singers voice, the one I picked for yesterdays "The song of today" really do have great lyrics, it does BUT, partly, not much but partly I think the singer and the band lack.. really "power" to make the song what it could be, I'm not in any sense saying Simple Plan is bad, I'm not, it's just that that song could have been even better, that's all I'm saying. So, this song is absolutely great, over and out.

Sunday, 10 August 2008

Well...

... I was here infront of the computer the whole day...

The song of today:
I'm Just A Kid by Simple Plan

...and life is a nightmare~. Seriously, this song's lyrics just fits the way I feel right now, I'll let the song speak for me today, I don't feel like writing more.

Saturday, 9 August 2008

Hey, welcome back!

I'm back home after roughly 3 weeks, I spent quite some time there at being sick, it just wouldn't let go, but finally I got rid of it. Most of the time I bathed, watched tv and lots of fun people I know through my family came, that's basicly what I've been doing these weeks. If you are wondering about my "book"-project; yes; in one way I made huge progress, I know a lot, lot more about what will happen along the way, I have created tons of new characters and basicly know more about the plot.. BUT I havn't written much on the actual story, that's all I have to say about that. Oh, and the best thing that happened during these 3 weeks was when me and my mom went to see Sofia Karlsson, a Swedish.. uh.. singer.. perform, it was a great concert wich brings me to todays "song of today"

The song of today:
Omkring Tiggarn Från Luossa... by Sofia Karlsson

A great version of this poem by Dan andersson, her great, great, great voice combined with the great lyrics almost leaves me breathless, it is simply great and so touching.

Oh and of course I love the other songs Sofia Karlsson sings and had a hard time choosing wich one to make "The song of today".
