I feel pretty good

I really do feel pretty good about myself right now, I said no to some friends, they wanted to hangout but I really needed to get my homework done.. And it's almost finished! The most urgent one is supposed to be in by tuesday, so I've got a whole day to finish it.. and I've practiced some History for the test on wednesday, I've also read the text that I'm supposed to read before my Latin class this this friday, the thing I didn't do was I didn't write a schedule for my (and a friends) leader-assignment for this wednesday, that means me and a friend will be "teachers" next gym-class, we'll have the class play basketball. So I'm proud of myself, I worked on a lot of homework when I really needed to.

The song of today:

Långa Nätter by Melissa Horn

Once again I didn't know which song to pick, I just started to listen to her, I heard her song with Lars Winnerbäck before but didn't get interested enough to look up more of her songs then. Right now I regret not having done that before, in my mind she is great, really great. Guitar, awesome voice and great text, I completely love all of it. I really like many of her songs, if you like Långa Nätter, checkout Kungsholmens Hamn and Hanna too.. and her other songs!

Pom-boff!

F*** it! I've decided to write here again. I write when I feel like it, no more, no less, at least I'll try to do this like that. I don't know if I've written that I love my new class in school this year, it's almost as great as my class that I had from the seventh to ninth grade, the bad about mixing the classes from last year is that I have some other teachers too, and the change wasn't for the better, too bad my English-teacher can't teach (among other new, bad teachers). Life since last time has been about school mostly, I've started practicing Parkour with mainly one of my friends again (the other one have joined some of the times too), this time inside, we go to the gym halls of school on wednesdays because we know that nobody is there at that time.

I've only been to Kenny's place once since last time.. I think.. well my cousin came over during the vacations of autumn, that was fun. I don't know if I've told you about this but there's this girl from my 7-9 grade -class.. anyway; she added me on msn all of a sudden, I found out shortly afterwards that a "friend" (we are not exactly close) of mine had jokingly asked how things were working with me and then asked if she wanted my msn, she answered "sure, why not" or something like that.. Story of my life I guess.

Right now I've got plenty of homework, and I really mean it this time, a whole lot of it, I'll try to get most of it done 'til the end of the weekend, my grades was really below my expectations in almost every subject (the exception is Geography).. and it's been that way up until.. last week or something, I feel like it's turning around now and I´m really happy about that... I just have to keep on working hard.

The song of today:
Maybe Tomorrow by Stereophonics

I love this song, the whole sound feels kind of unique and the text feels... cleansing or something, I don´t know how to explain it in a better way, it´s a little "random" and at the same time really full of meaning and it brings hope. AND it´s in one of my favorite movies Wicker Park, I hope you´ll enjoy this song as much as I do.

Last Week

The important thing that happened last week was during the weekend, I went to the "Granny Goes Street" -festival in Falun, I met one of my friends from the internet for the first time there and I saw some great bands and artists, like Kapten Röd, De Lyckliga Kompisarna and Toffe Åkesson, Toffe was a great surprise, I didn't know who he was before the festival but he was great, after the festival I went home to my friend, who lives in Mora and sleept there, then I went home by train yesterday.

The song of today:
92 by Toffe Åkesson

This is a great song, really great, the text takes you down to earth.

So..

So.. I had my 2.5 hour Latin lesson today.. It's long.. obviously. Other than that I spent some time looking at videos at Youtube with my Dad some, mostly music.

And I'm going to Kenny tomorrow.

The song of today:

Under Månen by Lars Winnerbäck

I havn't had any Lars Winnerbäck song here until now because, first I wanted to save that until after the concert and then I hadn't listened all that much to Lars' songs and I thought it would be unfair to just throw in some random song. Still, I had a really hard time choosing, mostly 'cause all his songs are great, it's crazy hard to choose one, so listen to the others too if you like this one. You've got to say that the lyrics are great, there's no other word to describe it.. And then there's that little something that makes Lars Winnerbäck so unbeliveably good.

Fall is...

Yesterday I got more active on Mcleodgaming again, now I'm helping out with another game besides SSF2. And today was a rather nice day, not all that easy stuff in school but not all that hard and tenacious either. I made some PA (Pixel Art) for my "new" sprite character Uc-Dude:

I like it, I do think it's hard to apreciate my own work at times but I'm really satisfied with this one.

Besides "The song of today"; "I'm sitn' down here in the campfire light.. waintin' on the ghost of Tom Joad" echoes in my head. (Bruce Springsteen)

The song of today:
Fall Is Just Something Grownups Invented by The Hives

"
Woo-hoo

They say our summer vacation
Has come to and end
And that we simply have no more
Holiday to spend

They say no more barefoot
No playin' around in the pool
They say now it's time for us
To go back to school

Got all my friends, a teacher, okay
But why do we really have to study all day
Well see I’m on to your scam and I’ll tell you how
We ended up with a Fall that we know of now

A time was invented to keep the kids in the hall
They gave it a name and we now know it as Fall
The line of the story that I have presented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented.

Though some things in Fall are just too good to pass
Jumping in leaves and Halloween is a gas
But I’d rather see to it that the truth be told
So I better do it now before I grow old

They wanted a break after the summer disarray
To rest up then handle the stress of Christmas day
So the grown-ups got together and made up the rule
That kids shouldn’t be playing
No they should be in school

A time was invented to keep the kids in the hall
They gave it a name and we now know it as Fall
The line of the story that I have presented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented.

Kick it

A time was invented to keep the kids in the hall
They gave it a name and we now know it as Fall
The line of the story that I have presented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented.

Fall is just something that grown-ups invented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented
Fall is just something that grown-ups invented
"

It says it all, that's my thoughts right now.

A long day

Today I woke up with a massive headache and I was more tired than ever. Well after that "great" start the day got even more tough, I had Two History lessons AND two "Culture and Idea History" lessons.. I had a lunchbreak that only lasted 35 minutes. And I had English and Spanish too.. So I'm all worn out now, really.

Oh and I wrote a little something just now.. well 'cause I felt like it;

"You and me
The two first fallen leaves from a withered tree
Two souls far from all the others.
Two canaries in a large group of crows.
We who thought we knew it all.
We were never gonna fall.

We carried the world upon our shoulders but no one cared
We thought deep thoughts that no one shared.
I tried your life, you tried mine.
You'd look happy, I'd always frown.

We, the hero and the brave
Two of a kind with really different minds.

I was there for you when you didn't need it.
But also when you begged and pleaded.

You cried in the rain, wishing the world would go sane.
I swept the tears of the sky from your eyes even though it was in vain.

You fell, I cut of my shell and then I too fell
Freely in a swift moment before we hit the ground.
Never to ever make a new sound."

I like it.. don't know if you do though.. And I don't really know what I mean by all that.

The song of today:
Fidelity by Regina Spektor

Because her voice just gets right through you, I almost shiver.. In a possitive way.. when she sings, check out her other songs, they are not all that much alike each other.
